She joked that she gained 20 pounds for the role to look more like a "real" woman. And people are sick in the head so they actually believed her. But think about it: if you took 20 pounds off her in that scene, she'd look sickly...and she's never looked sickly before.

AHA, nobody said they thought she was fat and unattractive. And if somebody wanted to say that, I wouldn't care. People have different preferences.

I am, however, objecting to the notion that she actually put on 20 pounds in order to look like that^^^^. Such a statement reveals a level of warped thinking that even I can't get my head around. And if there is a large number of people who truly believe that (not just God), then that is a serious indictment of our society's perceptions and expectations of the human body.

But I don't think a large number of people actually believe that. I assume that most people have seen a naked lady in real life before. Maybe even had sex with one!
