I ate at Bouchon with five other folks, and it was spectacular. We went balls out -- got the giant multi-tiered seafood thing and escargot and cheese course and entrees and desert. Everyone tried a little bit of everything on the table. Nobody could find fault with anything (OK, except for the sheep cheese in the cheese course. Nobody liked that). Hands down the best meal I've had in my life. Also it should be pointed out that the staff was very helpful and patient with a crowd that had an average BAC of about 4.I had the lamb, which was exquisite, but I almost wish I'd ordered the chicken. I tried a bite of what my buddy ordered. Never before or since have I eaten a chicken breast that was so moist, juicy, and flavorful all the way through. The guy that ordered it didn't say a word throughout the meal. And lest my praise be incomplete, it wasn't that expensive. For six guys to eat as much as we did, I think the bill topped out at around $700. Pricey, no doubt, but remember we had been looking forward to this meal for some time and had splurged on things (particularly the $140+ seafood thing) that wouldn't normally be parts of a meal.[Edited on June 7, 2012 at 3:03 AM. Burger Bar is fab (Hubert Keller). Kobe beef burger topped with an egg and truffles? OMGOlives at Bellagio has great food AND amazing views (Todd English concept). And when you're looking for something super tasty and relatively inexpensive, there's a delish Mexican place in the Venetian that's my go-to when I have a hangover. Best hangover food around.

L'atelier Robuchon is still one of the best meals I've had anywhere. It's the cheapest three michelin star restaurant in the world and offers ala cart. The food is actually inventive instead of being merely food most people don't eat prepared well. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joël_RobuchonJoël Robuchon (born 7 April 1945 in Poitiers, France) is a French chef and restaurateur. He was titled "Chef of the Century" by the guide Gault Millau in 1989[1] and also awarded the Meilleur Ouvrier de France (France's Best Craftsman) in cuisine in 1976. He has published several cookbooks in French, two of which have been translated into English, has chaired the committee for the current edition of the Larousse Gastronomique, and has hosted culinary television shows in France.[2][3] He operates a dozen restaurants in Hong Kong, Las Vegas, London, Macau, Monaco, New York City, Paris, Taipei, and Tokyo, with a total of 27 Michelin Guide stars among them – the most of any chef in the world.[4][5][Edited on June 7, 2012 at 3:08 PM. Robertos Taco Shop, they are all over Vegas.Batista's Hole in the wall, behind the Flamingo
6/8/2012 11:41:24 PM
Will have to try the cheap casino near Venetian. We always play at Wild Bill's because it's trashy, cheap and close to all the fun of Caesar's, Venetian, etc.
6/9/2012 12:49:38 AM
The shops in the venetian were pretty cool. The fake sky indoor is pretty trippy when you walk in at night.
6/9/2012 10:48:40 AM
i would expect vegas to be a "foodie" type of place
6/9/2012 11:26:24 AM

6/9/2012 2:31:26 PM
if we have time i wanna check out bouchon, olives, and b and b ristorantehowever, it's not the longest trip and i still have to fit in the traditions of hitting the wynn buffett and in-and-out and 4kegs.in any event, i will take pics of whatever food i get, then post it somewhere and make obnoxious comments about it
6/11/2012 7:29:43 AM
I'll be at Bellagio next weekend, so will definitely try B&B Ristorante. Will probably return to Olives for drinks/apps/fountain show.Any other must-try dining experiences near Bellagio? Say, within a couple of blocks, and on the strip?
6/27/2012 4:45:24 AM
Strip Burger is really good - it's on the corner right across from Wynn. They've got awesome burgers and fries. Their shakes are supposed to be good too, but I've never gotten one because I didn't have room for it after the food.
6/27/2012 4:58:19 AM
Avoid Sugar Factory at Paris at all costs.Had a decent meal at Red Square in Mandalay. (Russian cuisine)The best eats I had though was when we stopped to get a lunch snack at Hussong's Cantina in Mandalay.

I'll second (or third) Olives at Bellagio. Just make sure you sit close to the windows if you can and you should be able to catch their water show while you eat.
