I want to order 187 ml sized ones in bulk. Any ideas?
6/27/2012 12:40:27 PM
if serious. I can ask at duplin county.
6/27/2012 12:48:12 PM
Very serious! Considering them for my wedding favors.. if they're reasonably priced then I'm going for it.
6/27/2012 12:57:42 PM
how many you talking and I can ask if they do it.
6/27/2012 12:58:42 PM
You might wanna hit up a distributorThey might hook you up if you're buying a large amount
6/27/2012 1:00:02 PM
Are you sure you want to give out crappy NC wine as a favor
6/27/2012 1:00:51 PM
NC wineries =
6/27/2012 1:07:24 PM
give out small bottles of moonshine instead
6/27/2012 1:07:47 PM
ComputerGuy: I need approximately 200-250 at the very max. Thank you for checking DivaBaby19: I know the owner of a wine shop so I shot him a FB message to see if I can get them directly from a distributor.wolfpackgrrr: LOL! I really want something to represent NC since the wedding will be in NY. It'll be interesting to see what I end up with, though.
6/27/2012 1:10:30 PM
I liked your idea of the Burt's Bees and honey! Or you could do those mini tins of Moravian cookies they sell
6/27/2012 1:13:18 PM
Moravian cookies
6/27/2012 1:14:14 PM
they're all going to laugh at you if you give duplin wine and say "HEY LOOK NORTH CAROLINA ROCKS"
6/27/2012 1:17:07 PM
^
6/27/2012 1:18:06 PM
^I know, but my Burt's Bees lip balm tins and NC honey were shot down to the max.and Cheerwine is absolutely out of the question.I'm dealing with very picky people, here.[Edited on June 27, 2012 at 1:18 PM. Reason : .]

If you want to represent the best that NC has to offer, NC wines would not be the way to goI'm not sure how much you want to spend but a cookbook featuring a NC chef would be nice. Like the cookbook from Mama Dip's. You might be able to a wholesale price if you order enough.I love the idea of Moravian cookies.[Edited on June 27, 2012 at 1:19 PM. Reason : f]
6/27/2012 1:19:02 PM
Now it's gonna be in NY?
6/27/2012 1:21:29 PM
lol.. Thx for coming to our wedding, here is a cookbook.# of wine drinkers>>>>>>>> # of people that cookHowever, I also would go with something different. A local NC microbrew probably.
6/27/2012 1:24:01 PM
who is doing your wedding videography?I make you nice price
6/27/2012 1:24:10 PM
well it showcases something that NC is known for...Southern cookingNC is not known for being a great wine state
6/27/2012 1:24:54 PM
yeah a pair of 12 oz bottles or a 22 oz bottlepick a good brewer
6/27/2012 1:26:11 PM
Le Bleu bottled water is from Advance, NCif you want to give something to go along with the beeror to wash down the NC wine For my destination wedding in Las Vegas, we had gift bags that we handed out at the rehearsal dinner. The bags had bottled water, peanut butter crackers, personalized playing cards and a $5 Starbucks gift card. [Edited on June 27, 2012 at 1:29 PM. Reason : f]

I've gotten about five mini bottles of firefly sweet tea vodka from weddings. I know it's from SC, but it represents the south. Or you could find one of the off-brands that is made in NC.[Edited on June 27, 2012 at 1:29 PM. Reason : .]
6/27/2012 1:29:07 PM
I gave out these:nom nom nom
6/27/2012 1:29:45 PM
6/27/2012 1:30:41 PM
I think she has a number of guests traveling to the wedding from EgyptSo probably stuff like Cheerwine would be far too sweet for themAlso when dealing with wine or beer, might want to consider the international guests and getting through customs
6/27/2012 1:37:33 PM
6/27/2012 1:40:30 PM
Or, you could get little bottles of good wine from wherever, not just NC (if the price is right), and make your own label. Assuming your relationship/marriage was "made in NC" it could go well with your idea.
6/27/2012 1:42:52 PM
6/27/2012 1:44:23 PM
Beethoven you are one smart cookie! That was my last resort option. [Edited on June 27, 2012 at 1:45 PM. Reason : ^oh yeah. way out of budget! thanks for the awesome idea, though]
6/27/2012 1:44:30 PM
NC wines are fine you snobs need to STFU, try deciding for yourself instead of listening to your stupid friends.
6/27/2012 1:49:34 PM
They have mini NC cookbooks at the history museum. They're like $5 each. Or at least they used to. I haven't been in there in over a year.
6/27/2012 1:50:46 PM
I've had NC wines before. I've done the Duplin Wine tour too. Fucking disgusting stuff.Aren't Larry's Beans from Raleigh? Maybe get a nice little assortment of beans?
6/27/2012 1:51:22 PM
6/27/2012 1:55:37 PM
Larry's Beans are pretty pricey though. They do wholesale pricing but only after they make you jump through hoops and fill out applications (and get them notarized )
6/27/2012 2:00:03 PM
Here are some NC specific food goodies: https://www.southernseason.com/ppf/id/11/cat.aspObviously, Southern Season is super expensive, but they might be able to bulk something, or just give you ideas to find/make elsewhere.
6/27/2012 2:00:22 PM
6/27/2012 2:00:42 PM
I don't think we ever finished the application for them. You should give everybody "Cackalacky" bumper stickers http://www.cackalacky.com/#!shop-now3rd page[Edited on June 27, 2012 at 2:09 PM. Reason : f]
6/27/2012 2:08:19 PM
no
6/27/2012 2:09:47 PM
6/27/2012 2:22:23 PM
6/27/2012 2:43:37 PM
1. most NC wine sucks2. what doesn't suck is more expensive than comparable quality wine from most anywhere else in the world3. what is quality wine probably doesn't come in splits (this refers to most wine, not just NC)4. Distributors can't sell directly to consumers, but if you know someone who owns a wine shop, they can cut you a steep discount where it'll be close to wholesale price
6/27/2012 3:01:12 PM
6/27/2012 3:15:45 PM
^that's true. I made my comment since I saw at least one recommended buying in bulk from a distributor.
6/27/2012 3:17:04 PM
Why not a bag of grits or some peanuts?
6/27/2012 3:17:39 PM
which is what she's trying to do
6/27/2012 3:17:59 PM
6/27/2012 3:20:48 PM
I thought she originally asked about buying from the winery[Edited on June 27, 2012 at 3:22 PM. Reason : I was the one that suggested the Distributor]
6/27/2012 3:21:53 PM
ok, i got confused about what she was trying to do when she posted
6/27/2012 3:22:48 PM
You can buy from a distributor fairly easy if the distributor is any good (and likes you). They'll just write it in as a cash account under one of their restaurants. Which also means you have to pay in cash though.
6/27/2012 3:24:19 PM
^that was the sort of deal I was thinking of haha
6/27/2012 3:25:46 PM
