Maybe they applied partial credit to a question or added a class curve to the grade.

I doubt they would curve a distance ed class run by a TA while the professor is out of the country the whole summer session, and I don't know how you give partial credit for multiple choice.

YOU BROKE THE TEST

It would probably make sense if you asked the person that graded your papers. There can be an infinite amount of reasons how this could have come about.[Edited on July 19, 2012 at 12:39 AM. Reason : s]

Yeah I'm waiting for a reply, just felt the need for some late-nite bitching in the mean time. The class has been a frustration from the get go.

After writing/giving the test, it came to their attention that one or several questions were written so that several of the answer choices could be seen as correct or misleading so they decided to give partial credit for the lesser answer. Sometimes multiple choice questions and answers aren't written very well and you end up having to adjust after the fact once a student brings it to your attention or complains. Ask.

Not all multi choice test have one correct answer. The most right could have been 2 points while the next best answer was 1 pointThat's how a lot of my tests in college were]
