ive always wondered if small animals come to after being knocked out and if they suffer simalr concussion symptoms to humans?sounds like a dumb question but cats fuck up and fall into things, things fall onto dogs heads etc. its gotta be scary as hell if it does happen, but from what ive seen is theyll yelp or something.

i'd like to see a cat fall onto a dog's head, that would probably be pretty funny

ive seen that happen, its pretty bad for the dog because the cat panics

I saw a squirrel get knocked out once. I don't remember if he acted funny upon waking though, because I don't know how to differentiate funny squirrel behavior from normal squirrel behavior.

My dog passed out once, and as soon as he hit the floor he shit all over the place. It freaked me the hell out.

Yesterday I was turning in my chair right as (unbeknownst to me) my cat was trying to jump onto my lap and I ended up elbowing her right in the face. She ran away and was not seen or heard from again until this morning. Perhaps she had a feline concussion and had to sleep it off.

Once had a rattlesnake that was hit by a car on the head. Limp and bleeding, undulating in that was a recently deceased snake does.Threw it in a box to take data on it once I was done. When I got home a couple of hours later, it was alive. Ended up taking care of it for a month, letting it heal up, making sure it ate, then released it.

I am willing to bet that no one can knock out my black lab. I have watched that motherfucker run full speed and head first into walls, then just sneeze and shake it off.I am pretty sure you would break his neck before knocking him out.

shot a squirrel, it fell out of the tree. went over and it appeared dead. stuck it in the pouch on the back of my hunting vest. few mins later i can feel it start wiggling around a little. had to pull it back out and wring its neck. it was a pretty good shot behind the shoulder, but i guess i didn't damage any organs bad enough that it couldn't regain consciousness. i try to shoot them in the head, but this one's head was behind a branch and he wouldn't move.

seems like animals have a better structure for taking that kinda damage than humans because ive never seen the kinda things that incapacitate humans do the same for dogs and cats[Edited on August 16, 2012 at 5:49 PM. Reason : V lol i mean yea if it didnt KILL them]

I am pretty sure that any blow to the head of most large breed dogs hard enough to knock them out would kill them. Big dogs have some hard ass skulls, yo.

I shot an opossum last weekend, pretty much point blank range with a 20 ga. shotgun. Not in the head though.

Saw a drunk woman drop her chihuahua on its head and it was knocked out. She tried to revive it with water and cheese. It was sad.

did it come to?

should have fed it Taco Bell

Yes, it came too after about 15 minutes. We've always thought it retained a bit of brain damage. It's a weird dog and only jumps in diagonal lines.
