Yeah, I think about getting Rosetta stone Spanish about once a month. It actually would be very useful to be able to speak Spanish. Even more so if I move to Arizona or New Mexico in a year or two like I want to.

I took French in HS and French & Spanish in college and more or less can't recall much of any of it. Saying random things in French does sound slightly cooler than saying random things in Spanish though.

what is your lifestyle that speaking spanish would not even count as "useful"?maybe not necessary, but you kind of have to go out of your way for it to be of literally no value.

I speak Spanish functionally and wish I knew more.If I was sitting in a cubicle all day I guess it wouldn't be very useful but as a manager in a manufacturing company, I encounter Spanish speaking folks.

I took french in middle school. My wrestling coach, who was also a spanish teacher, advised me to switch to spanish after asking "When was the last time you ran into a family of french migrant workers at Walmart?"
