My prediction is that we'll just hear Romney complain all night. He has no foreign policy experience. He made the mistake of picking a running mate who doesn't provide any to balance him out either (I guess because he was so desperate to use the running mate to define him domestically after being all over the map). He has nowhere to go, other than to complain most of the night.
10/22/2012 8:25:57 PM
in before ultra-gaff that ruins romney campaign
10/22/2012 8:25:58 PM
^^Oh wow, that took some really deep insight.I was under the impression Obama was letting Romney job-shadow.
10/22/2012 8:32:08 PM
so what you're saying, Jake, is that 4 years ago, Obama shouldn't have been elected, either, because he had no foreign policy experience either...

10/22/2012 8:55:54 PM
Yea, the whole "Romney has no FP experience" doesn't fly with Obama. He's had the job 4 years and still doesn't know what he's doing with the international community.
10/22/2012 8:56:10 PM
i mean, really, Obama genuinely thought that he would come in to office and all of America's PR problems would be over because dubya was gone.then when he got into office, he slowly realized that people weren't going to bow down to him like they did in college simply because he was black, and he was gonna have to actually do something. And what did he do? Basically exactly what Dubya did or would have done, even going so far as to use Dubya's exact pre-negotiated timetable for withdrawing from Iraq, partly because his negotiators bungled the talks so badly. For a guy that ran on offering a change from the previous administration, Obama has been the mirror image of Dubya and his foreign policies in damned near every respect.About the only thing Obama's done right with regards to foreign policy is to give the order to kill OBL, and in even that case, he pissed off Pakistan something fierce with it. If I were Obama, I wouldn't be hanging my hat on anything foreign policy related.]

Did Romney just say the democratically elected president of Egypt is to be considered a foreign policy failure because he's too Muslim? Rather than viewing more democracy as a success?
10/22/2012 9:07:59 PM
5 minutes of nothing.

Iran has been "four years closer to a nuclear weapon" since '88.That dog won't hunt Monsignor.

foreign policy of the 1980ssocial policy of the 1950seconomic policy of the 1920s
10/22/2012 9:12:18 PM
The 1980s are now calling to ask for their foreign policy back.(referring to Romney saying Russia is our main foe, not Al Qaeda)
10/22/2012 9:12:22 PM
Hard to take a debate like this seriously when they both have the same foreign policy. Send billions in aid to other countries leaders to spend on their life of luxury, blow shit up, and use the "War on Terror" to advance their agenda of revoking US Citizen's rights. If they want to "debate" anything shouldn't they at least bring someone who takes the other side?
10/22/2012 9:12:37 PM
Obama actually has cred here. This is going to be ugly for Romney.
10/22/2012 9:13:01 PM
[Edited on October 22, 2012 at 9:14 PM. Reason : Complaining & lying & forgetting to boot!]
10/22/2012 9:14:00 PM
you've been waiting to post that, haven't you?
10/22/2012 9:14:23 PM
This is gonna get really ugly for romney.Friday night lights needs it slogan back
10/22/2012 9:14:39 PM
I AM BORED
10/22/2012 9:14:47 PM
In all seriousness, Romney does deny saying things he did say. Maybe I'm just looking for it more?
10/22/2012 9:14:59 PM
wonder if Obama's teleprompter has a ticker with the Bears score on it
10/22/2012 9:15:27 PM
i guess it all depends on what you mean by geo political
10/22/2012 9:15:52 PM
Romney is back to talking over Obama.
10/22/2012 9:17:34 PM
10/22/2012 9:17:47 PM
This debate will hinge on how Romney can "twist" the foreign policy issues back to domestic issues. Because the president is certainly going to be able to handle him on these issues, as most incumbents would.
10/22/2012 9:21:58 PM
no one respects black men. I also believe that this election would not be close if Obama was white.
10/22/2012 9:23:02 PM
10/22/2012 9:24:41 PM
Why would Romney go back over things he said previously - he knows every media watchdog is just waiting to fact check what he said.
10/22/2012 9:26:55 PM
Mitt not doing a very good job explaining how he'd do anything different than the President
Mom (Romney supporter) just texted me that Obama is kicking his ass.
10/22/2012 9:28:19 PM
He's pretty much outlining what Obama has already done and saying its what he'll do.
10/22/2012 9:28:23 PM
When I exploded, with the president it felt good.
10/22/2012 9:28:39 PM
Big surprise....Romney and Obama have the same foreign policy
10/22/2012 9:29:53 PM
10/22/2012 9:29:56 PM
10/22/2012 9:30:12 PM
There he goes. Knew he had to twist it back to economy. It was a good place to do it.Strengthen military? Really?
10/22/2012 9:30:30 PM
boring
10/22/2012 9:31:49 PM
Obama is in the debate, but he wishes he was all
10/22/2012 9:33:01 PM
He just dropped a Bush bomb.
10/22/2012 9:33:44 PM
It sounded like Romney was going to say, "I got your policy right here."Here comes the five point plan! Drink!!!
10/22/2012 9:34:10 PM
So this already happened:
10/22/2012 9:34:49 PM
I muted it for a minute and now Romney is blathering on about the economy - I thought this was about foreign policy - is he actually answering the question?
10/22/2012 9:34:58 PM
I knew there was a reason I went to the ABC store tonight. My subconscious knew it was debate night...
