Some people say that the plot of Home Alone was told from the viewpoint of a delusional Kevin McCallister. He supposedly really was on that flight to Paris with his family and they had a nice family trip, but that wouldn’t make for a good movie so he made up the whole pity story about him getting left behind and burgled all for the fame. The only way we’re ever going to get to the bottom of this is if they hand over the flight logs and, as everyone knows, Home Alone 6 is the best of the franchise.
