Nice to be considered in the convo. So if we were a playoff team in 2025, and considered as one of top 5 improved roosters in 2026, I think we can squeeze out 9 wins. However, i expect us to experience what happened to cheifs. 2 years ago chiefs won all the close games, last year they lost a lot of close games. Last season we won a lot of close games/final drive games. Law of averages says this season we will lose those games

I figure if bryce is lackluster, which is what i expect, and we do very poorly, him and Canales gone. A real restart. Is the next QB draft class good? Could we do something like what packers did with Jordan Love? Just throwing spaghetti at the wall. Have a good day

I don't think Metchie and Pickett are upgrades at their respective positions. In fact, I'd be surprised if Metchie actually makes the roster. And Kenny Pickett? Well he's just not very good at being a QB. Not sure why that's the guy they decided they needed to bring in as the #2.

Picked up Rasheed Walker for a year. I guess Ickey isn't going to play this year.

Well their backup tackle last year Yosh Nijman also surprisingly retired instead of re-signing, so they had/have a pressing need at tackle. Basically the only healthy tackle was Moton. Probably gonna draft one early, too.

is that your way of saying we need to draft OL?

They probably should. Walker keeps them from being forced to draft an OT first, but they should probably still get one as Moton will be 32 before this season starts and Ickey is recovering from a serious injury.

Shit man its 2026 now. I meant to do 26/27

Quote :
"Carolina Panthers

With left tackle Ikem Ekwonu expected to miss at least part of the year following patellar tendon surgery, the Panthers signed Stone Forsythe, who was with Dave Canales in Seattle. They gave Forsythe a modest, one-year deal after he allowed 11 sacks in 13 games last year in Las Vegas, finishing with Pro Football Focus’ worst pass-protection grade among 89 tackles. The Panthers planned to re-sign Yosh Nijman, but the swing tackle announced last week he was retiring. And while drafting a tackle at 19 is very much in play, the Panthers could use another veteran given the uncertainty around Ekwonu’s recovery timeline. "

Anyways. This is what nyt says our biggest need is

I think you're conflating Michael Oher with the actor who played Michael Oher in The Blind Side

What's your prediction for the 19th pick in this year's draft?
The guys on WFNZ are big on KC Concepcion.

Gemini: Thieneman or Sadiq

Chatgpt: Concepcion or Sadiq

You're thinking of Ben Finley. He was probably a first round pick last year.

In addition to being a 7'2" 3pt specialist, I can throw a football really well. People tell me I'm a mix between Lamar Jackson and Tom Brady.

On a serious note, i think any position besides K, P, LS, and RB would be acceptable. Honestly don't think they need to draft another WR in the first round at this point. Coker and McMillan are a solid 1-2 punch and there are enough other areas of need.

Sadiq off the board

OL has highest odds currently

predictions markets pretty much confirming OL is the pick. Is Dan Morgan getting paid in the war room?

OL makes a lot of sense. Ekwonu likely out for the year and Moton is 31. This dude is a long term building block for the OL. Barring major injury to Walker/Moton this year, he won't have to play much and can develop as the eventual replacement for Moton.

Nyt(athletic i guess) ranked us 13th in terms of draft.

Quote :
"Favorite pick: Monroe Freeling, OT, Georgia

Had Freeling returned to Georgia for his senior year, there’s a good chance we would have been talking about him as a top-10 pick in the 2027 draft. He needs more experience but has all the ability to become a long-term left tackle — currently a question mark for the Panthers.

Day 3 pick who could surprise: Sam Hecht, C, Kansas State

Carolina brought in Luke Fortner to replace Cade Mays at center, but it won’t be a surprise if Hecht makes a serious push for the top spot on the depth chart. Zakee Wheatley should challenge for playing time in the secondary, too."
