Class of 2003 graduation preparation starts now!!!

submitted by Satch on Wednesday, March 12 2003 at 10:43 AM

Hope everyone had a nice time on their vacations.

I know it is early to be talking graduation, but there are many things we seniors need to do to prepare for May 17th. Below is a link to the graduation website with pretty much everything you need to prepare for the big day. I encourage all of you seniors out there to search the site and identify any questions or concerns you have about the event.

If you have any additional questions on the ceremony, or whether you are in fact graduating, I encourage you to speak to your academic advisor or email the commencement committee ( graduation@ncsu.edu ) .

*No, the speaker has not been announced yet; this information will be announced at a later date.

Thank you for your time and finish the semester strong!

Decker Ngongang
2002-2003 Senior Class President

I think we need to revise the way we pick graduation speakers...this year Bill Cosby is speaking at UNC and Kofi Annan is speaking at Duke.

PLEASE pick somebody better than that guy last year; good Lord Almighty; the cameras panned the audience and half of them were asleep, the other half looked like they were doing crossword puzzles... it was awful

December 2002 graduation? The speaker was Jim Goodnight. I would have liked to hear him speak.

I will take advice from a millionaire anytime.

I think we should let Chuck Amato speak at graduation. Everyone would love to hear him speak.

Naw May 2002.. some columnist. William Raspberry. Believe me, I would have much preferred that he just write a column to put in the graduation program. ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz

Plus none of the seniors on the floor of the arena could hear anything the speaker said due to the loud echo and sound logistics of the program!!! It was terrible that none of us could even hear our own speaker!

At Dec. graduation Goodnight made jokes about how none of the professors actually taught class & all the classes were ran by foreign TA's who couldn't speak english when he was here..... I enjoyed hearing him & he was interesting, but it was pretty clear Mary Ann & co. didn't like it. I don't see them letting him or someone like that come back...
