I agree with the consensus that I drive sucks and most navs do too. If I didn't have to get nav in the jeep to get the externally amped stereo with sub I would have passed too. I would have passed anyway if it wasn't just a double din hole for the nav but it is so ill deal with u connect through warranty and then get an aftermarket head unit that should fit just fine :-)

iDrive may not be perfect, but it is nice to have something integrated to the rest of the car. The Real Time Traffic Info (RTTI) works well, I love the send to car feature, which lets me send my destination to my car from the computer or my phone, and then of course it's great for picking music.

Not to mention it makes the interior look great. That is subjective though.

it does look nice, but the music selection and nav are god awful compared to my 8 year old AVIC D3.

I hate my car's built in navigation. It's far and away inferior to my phone's multiple navigation apps.

The jeeps kinda blows on road and is clumbsy to use but offload, the resolution and accuracy is awesome. I also like the bread crumb feature so you can just go exploring.

It's the Subaru premium unit. Available on every Scooby but the Impreza I believe. I honestly wish that the BRZ could be had without this damn thing (its standard for all of them). I most certainly would have not picked it. Oh, and while the speakers aren't too bad for the stereo, the interior door panels are horrible at resonating at their natural frequencies. I've had the dealership look at them twice, and they've somewhat "fixed" the problem with some insulation tape but they said it's common for the BRZ.

Good luck with those. I'm becoming a bit leary of potenzas myself. My dad currently has a set of S-04 Pole Positions on his S2000 and he'll be lucky to get 12-15k out of them. For comparison he got roughly 30k miles out of his Potenza RE050's.

I got potenza RE0960's myself. seems like a good tire so far but I really need an alignment to pass judgement. hopefully they hold up at VIR

When my OEM Michelin Primacy HPs wear out I'll be upgrading to Dunlop Direzza Star Spec ZII's. Instrumented testing has show that this car can hit 1.00g of lateral grip just by making this change.

just fine.

front has extended LCAs and PBM 40mm drop knuckles. the LCAs and tie rods are pretty much level now. far better than they've ever been since i bought the car. i'll get some pics soon.

rear has solid subrame risers which puts the subframe up 15mm against the chassis. not a ton, but 15mm better than before. PBM also make rear drop knuckles with spherical bushings and twin caliper mounts. i'll probably get those eventually to further help level out the rear arms.

it's got plenty of travel. the coilovers are only 8k/6k, so not stupid stiff. short tires and cut fenders/quarters make for loads of clearance

it looks closer to rubbing in pictures than it actually is.

plus the exhaust and framerails are self-clearancing! hit a few bumps, they crush in, and then they're harder to hit next time around

Rears on the M5 last 10-12k with normal driving. At 15k I would be riding on rims.

30k miles on RE050s? Unplug the vtec solenoid and see how long it takes him to notice.

Im going with RE760s because they are cheap and will be gone in 15k miles.

You must not be keeping up with the automotive aftermarket business let alone knowing camber and toe.

FYI if any of you Raleigh guys need anything welded up, check out Praxis Fabrication on Facebook. the page says Florida, but one of the guys is actually a friend of mine living in north Raleigh. he does excellent TIG work.

for example: i had an old pair of extended FLCAs laying around that i might use for an S14 later on. i had him weld on a plate and threaded bung for a heim joint (rose joint, rod end, whatever) to replace the squishy factory inner bushing and give the LCA some length adjustability.

yeah, i ignore it and eventually replace it next time i replace my clutch

but seriously, what else is there to do? you can't get to it without pulling the engine or dropping the trans. it's not worth the hassle for a inconsequential intermittent noise.

Just a heads up on why I like Johnny's better is they keep dirt out of the low friction areas better. They aren't really any stronger just last longer.

^I'm not sure, but I've been looking into it. I know I could get a kit from RRM, costing about $5k, but I've also heard I could do it myself in pieces and spend about $3k.

just looked up some turbo lancer videos; that power is nowhere near the 250whp (~310hp) each owner claimed

http://www.roadracemotorsports.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=293
the RRM guys say +50%... so 225hp, at most.

for $4300, I'd pass. Especially since you're not even going to make enough power to warrant new injectors and fuel pump

i promised a picture of my almost-level LCAs, and my phone lens can barely see underneath my front lip, so here. i wish i had a before pic when they were pointing at the sky.

outer extensions on the LCAs are 40mm, plus the inner heim joints are threaded out another 16mm, so ~56mm longer on each side. hooray for absurdly long (and 100% interchangeable!) Maxima tie rods.

I wished I had skill like that. My Tig is terrible and barely passable Mig. Forget aluminum... It's like basketball, I understand the math and physics of whats going on, but actually doing it... execution is key.

put a seat in my pickup, next is replacing the PTO shaft on the F-600. a universal joint let go and made a mess out of it. Hoping to get the new steering box and rag joint in my pickup soon as time allows. it will have less play and will hopefully turn easier.
