Chipper on Melky's actions: "That's Melky and that's why he's not here anymore...It won't be forgotten"

Thursday's game should be fun.

Also, Chippers next RBI will put him with the most RBI by a 3rd baseman in MLB history.

^^^ Expanding on that quote from the AJC:

Quote :
"From Cabrera’s rude gesture to fans in the left-field bleachers on Tuesday to his slow home-run trot and apparent suggestion to Heyward that he try to advance to third base on a flyout Wednesday, Cabrera has reveled in a black-hat role. At a ballpark where, in 2010, he rarely played anywhere near as well for the Braves as he’s played in an All-Star season for San Francisco.

Fans weren’t the only ones who took offense.

“That’s Melky, and that’s why he’s not here anymore,” Jones said. “He got a little happy when Blanco hit the home run. It won’t be forgotten.”"

Melky is cock sucker. I did not realize what a POS that guy was. Hope he gets one in the fucking back today.

Also to the new poster who says Braves fans are butthurt about losing a couple games to the Giants. No baseball is baseball, losing a couple games happens, having jackass former players act like a clown on the field gets fans butthurt.

It's pretty well-documented that Melky is one of my least favorite baseball players ever.

Highlight reel: http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=10464377&topic_id=&c_id=mlb&tcid=vpp_copy_10464377&v=3

It's a shame that in the one year he chose not to play like a fat piece of shit, he still acts like one.

Uggla's 17 LOB was awesome

Let's play Barves transaction bingo. Which is most likely to happen to happen first?

- Chipper to the 60-day DL with a knee injury for old time's sake
- Dempster acquired
- Greinke acquired
- Jonathan Sanchez acquired
- Rick Ankiel signed off waivers
- Martin contracts Hep C
- JJ to AAA (would be DFA'd if he didn't have options left)
- Minor traded for a bat
- The horse muscle transplants in Uggla's biceps rupture

Martin and Ankiel are most likely followed closely by Chipper. No one wants Minor and Greinke would cost too much.

^ I think it is pretty easy to say that Melky is just stupid. I guess that crotch chop shit he was doing all during the series is some lame crap the Giants have been doing all season. They like to draw attention to their junk so the other guys will stare at it apparently. Sounds about right for a team with Buster Posey on it.

First time I've seen people in a bar in Atlanta cheering loudly for the braves since the playoff series against the giants. The drunker I got, the better the braves played.

Just hope it carries over into today's games. Ben Sheets and Delgado starting, hmmmmm.

Sucks that the Braves dropped the last two over the weekend. Delgado can be great for a few innings and then magically turn into Livan and look like complete dogshit. No surprise that JJ was awful yesterday. His career may be over. Hope the Braves can unload him on someone and get some value.

If the Braves do get Dempster, I hope it is a trade where the Braves give up Minor, Pastornicky, and JJ. That would be the best trade in history. Even greater than the Smoltz or Fred McGriff trades.

If it happens, it will be interesting to see if he immediately signs an extension with Atlanta. It seems that's what they're looking for, even though he's expected to re-sign with Chicago at the end of the season.

"The Braves and Cubs have agreed to a trade that will send Ryan Dempster to Atlanta, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports (on Twitter). Randall Delgado could be going to Chicago in the deal, Bowman adds."

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFffffffffffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

DO NOT LIKE

We're not getting a 2 ERA from Dempster. Regression to the mean is going to bite us in the ass. At 35, I'm afraid Dempster could only get worse - is it a stretch to say he could end up going Lowe's route?

Demp wouldn't be a bad addition, as long as it meant not dealing from our current rotation. In that scenario JJ would get the boot. Shit, me replacing JJ would be addition by subtraction. Then the rotation woudl have been Hudson, hanson, Dempster, Delgado, Minor in some order.

But we're dealing Delgado, basically replacing him with Dempster. I don't see how that improves our rotation all that much. Hudson, Hanson, Dempster, Minor, JJ(?). That rotation really doesn't look all that much better than the one w/ Delgado.

This is just a dumb trade.
