You get a trophy for that?!

Chelsea will probably pocket about €32M for all of their wins in the UCL plus another €17M from the UCL TV pool. So Roman will make about €50M from this season's cup win.

If West Ham repeat their form from last season and get relegated again, they will make about €49M from the EPL TV pool alone. Of course if they stay up, they will make even more. Also, because they won, they now have a much stronger case to move to Olympic Stadium in 2014. Leyton Orient were trying to cock block them from the move after they got relegated, but now that they are back in the EPL they will most likely get rights to take over the stadium.

I would say that West Ham have a lot to celebrate, arguably as much as Chelsea today.

I was referring to the fact that there's a trophy and medal presentation for winning the Championship playoff final, aka 3rd place in the Championship.

Thanks for the commentary though and financial breakdown.

Hazard to United per soccernet.

Meanwhile, I'm sure Arsenal are lining up a £2m transfer for some 17 year old in Ligue 2.

Is there an MLS thread?

Is anyone going to the Railhawks / Galaxy game next week?

I might, sounds like all of the Galaxy high profile talent will be MIA though.

LOL at Joey Barton getting a 12 game suspension, btw.

Wenger's replacement for RVP

also, Twitter told me there are 3 clubs in for Hazard. Who are the other clubs stupid enough to try to compete with Spurs?

I have to say, the majority of Liverpool fans are fucking annoying. It's pretty embarrassing how they're behaving about this manager change.

It kind of makes me want to support a different club, to be honest.

I'd say 90% of them freaking want Rafa back and claiming they won't support any new manager that isn't him or somebody like Pep Guardiola, and especially not Roberto Martinez (who beat Liverpool at Anfield with a substantially inferior team). That Spirit of Shankly group issued some stupid ass public statement demanding answers about the search and direction of the club.

The Spirit of Shankly group and our fans are embarrassing. I just wish people would shut up and let FSG do what they do. They'll get who they want to run the club and I'll be happy about it.

AND the MOST embarrassing things our fans have done...

I read he wants twice what Spurs can pay him. Only clubs that pay that much are United, City, and Chelsea.

There is absolutely zero buzz about him in the Spursnet.

Podolski is his replacement...well, hopefully supplement, but possibly replacement. Kalou has been rumored to be moving to Arsenal for months now.

Yeah the point was Arsenal potentially losing a star and replacing him with a cheap and in this case free cast-off

Looking more and more like Dempsey is going to chase the Champions League and leave Fulham.

If he stays in England, what would be the best fit? My thoughts:

1. Arsenal
2. Spurs
3. Chelsea
4. United
5. Liverpool
6. City

I think he'd easily find a place in Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs, and as much as I hate it if he went there, United. The other two would probably end up with him on the bench more often than not.

I don't think he would see much of the field at United with Welbeck, Rooney, Young, Nani, Valencia on that team. I'd love to see him at Spurs though and I think he would bring a lot to Liverpool as well.

He doesn't play Welbeck's position and he brings more defensively than Young or Nani. Hell, Nani was already losing minutes. I'm not saying he'd start but he'd get a fair share of minutes for sure.

I'd like to see him go to Spain or Italy.
