I can only guess what the topic has mutated to by this point, but as for the question raised, I don't celebrate it. I don't decorate (not even a tree or festive plates or napkins), nor do i buy gifts for others (and this is a fact that they are aware of). The only xmas activity I typically 'partake in' is Charlie Brown Christmas.

^^^^^ What is that from son? I've seen that many times but I'm not familiar with the origin of it.

why? because its easier to cave into a made up holiday than explain to your family every year that you don't believe in the fake man in the sky.

And hell, giving gifts isn't really religious necessarily anyway. I guess I think of it as a gift exchanging and family day, although I don't really spend it with that much family personally.

Who is the head explode guy and where is he from?

the spirit of giving/kindness/holiday spirit/whatever/family time doesn't necessarily have to correlate to religion ya know.

i think our christmas is more about family and being thankful for what we have and being together and trying to give back than it is about jesus

whoopsy. but i guess you could argue that that IS about jesus since that is like living in his way or whatever

cept we drink a lot and say bad words so...oops.

i hope this has been pointed out somewhere in the 9 pages but Jesus wasn't even born on Christmas. The celebration was consolidated with St Nick day and the "holidays" like new years, hannakah and kwanza take place around the same week. Santa clause, reindeer, snow, mistletoe, etc. have nothing to do wtih Jesus.
