I've seen Krisiun. Their drummer seemed to rely way too heavily on triggers for his bass drum. I'm not even 100% sure he was hitting the bass drum all the time, if that's even possible. Still a good show.

Nile rocked my face off the one time I saw them.

Maybe you could put like one dollar in a jar every week from now until then.

I really like CoB. But the band I have been obsessed with lately is Volbeat. Anybody else like them?

Its been a few weeks and i think the first krallice album is actually better.

The second one has better sections, but tends to rely too much on an almost wolves in the throneroom style droning to finish out large sections of time. First one just has better all around song writing/structure

Hey astral,
by my calculations you should have like two to four dollars saved up for that nile show by now. Just wanted to check to make sure you're on the right track.

so trustkill is saying that "hopesfall" will have a new EP in 2010. My guess is that what they are calling "hopesfall" is yet another project with Jay Forrest on vocals and totally new musicians . Sad thing is, I'll still pick it up regardless. It could just be some rumored B sides stuff from the Magnetic North sessions kicking around too

If anything happens with some of the original members though, I will be really stoked. I've still been waiting for the reunion show (that will never happen) for quite some time.

i just had a pretty sweet conversation with one of my old roommates who's been shreddin some stuff and plans on recording to send to me. prob leans more towards post-hardcore but i was at his place in wilm a couple weekends ago and heard a few things. waiting on him to send me some stuff so i can tinker around with some bass lines.

Been listening to a band called Dangers this morning. The album is called Messy, Isn't It? They had a previous album called "Anger" back around 2006ish and it was ok but I didn't get into it a lot. I am REALLY digging the new album.

Very art-punk/hardcore sound. Think old fear before the march of flames (Odd How People Shake-era), refused, and converge thrown into a blender with some of the good basement "screamo" bands of last decade like portraits of past, funeral diner, hot cross etc. and a band emerging (not as heavy as converge, not as well polished as the refused record, slightly more schizophrenic than old Fear Before) who focused on creating energetic 2 minute punk songs.
