come on, JT, you know every field in Raleigh is well manicured, and falling on the grass is like falling into a pile of rose petals. there's no divots or potholes, the ball always rolls true, and there's 20 fields available at any given time to each and every player.

I think there actually are some kids playing on that field. I saw some kids playing out there with parents watching when I drove by on Saturday and was like, "WTF?" But I guess it makes sense now.

^^^You are correct about that. The Dorthea Dix fields are sooooooooo beautiful! My pickup crowd loves those fields on Sundays!

I don't know about that! I have a good amount of former select and college players on my roster. Once we play a few games together we should be good to go. We should do well against all of those no skills Open C teams like Hibernian and Newcastle!

Does Ruckus have a totally new roster made up of talent too?

where are some pick up games/scrimmages located? im not too familiar with the scene anymore other than that they prob play on the IM fields at state in the evenings

I saw on there somewhere that there is a pickup team that likes to play against local league teams. One of the guys on your coed team goes out there sometimes. The Dorthea Dix games on Sunday are fun.

^I hope you have some talent because Hibernian is really good. I'm going to a pickup game with half my team tomorrow. We signed up for 10 of the 20 spots. The talent is good, but not great, so it will be a good first test. You might want to consider trying to take over a pickup game like I did.

^Almost never. The men's over 30 and Men's Open A had odd numbers this past season and there were 2 games played on Wednesday. Schedule overflow is done on Sunday in the men's Division.

TASL Women's Open = Sunday
TASL Coed = Week Nights
TASL Men's Divisions = Saturday

^Yeah, someone on my team sent me an e-mail about a park to practice in. Also, Davis Drive seems to be busy in the morning and then clear out after noon, so I was thinking about giving that a try. It would be nice to have an entire field to ourselves.

^Half the team met up last weekend and played in a pickup game. We look to be set on offense, but the defending could be a little better, so we need to practice again. I was hoping that we would have lots of good defenders and I could be the last person off the bench every game just so I could make sure our worst defender doesn't play center fullback and our best forward doesn't choose to play fullback. That happened too much last season. Maybe I will get lucky and won't have to start every game, so I can make sure the subs go to the right places at least when we sub in for the first time.

I'm impressed with the offense on roster so far! Now can we defend once the reserves start cycling in? That is going to be the interesting part. It's going to be fun though.

I was just on facebook and it looks as though harmemou is a member of Wingmen according to todays facebook photos of the scrimmage.
