^ unless they put up signs saying the fields are closed, i'm sure people will be playing there either today or tomorrow. I've seen this happen in the past, that's how the Preston fields became so crappy

^^Yeah there is no stopping it unless they would put a fence all the way around the fields. The 9:30 am pickup game is played at Davis Drive even when it is raining.

^They beat us 6 nothing the first weekend and pass really well because they played in Rainbow League together for 3 years, or something like that. FC Blizzard beat them in their second game 4-0. They have some good players, but so do the other teams in the league.

^I was talking about the guy for Blizzard. He had a hat trick the first week and scored at least 2 goals these past 2 games. One of my defenders said Blizzard plays A level at netsports.

Hah. I didn't even read the last sentence in your post this morning. I read it last night and forgot you were talking about a Jimmy too.

I was referring to the Jimmy on our team. He also scored 2 in our first game and I don't know if he scored 2 weeks ago against GCE, I wasn't there.

Our captain keeps the players passes too. So we never have to worry about guys forgetting them and not being able to play (or showing up late because they have to turn around and go back home to get it). Our captain also used to keep and wash our jerseys for us for the same reason, although now we are now in charge of our own jersey.

^^They lost 1-0 to Flying Dog, beat Royal Pains 3-1, and beat Bully City 1-0 which is the team that beat us 6-0 in week 1.

^That works both ways though. I could always leave the house and forget all of the player passes too. Last spring part way through the season I told everyone to take their own pass home. Then the following week I was out of town at a funeral. I had to make a call and tell someone else to take the ref money and e-mail them a copy of the roster. Thank goodness I didn't have all of the passes at my house that weekend, or I would have been driving across town to give them to someone else. There is no need to do that.


As for calling people out, I was just explaining to aaronian why we lost. I'm not upset at all with anyone. Rec league sports are about the 100th most important thing in most adults lives and it should be.
